We love good, healthy food and we think our guests will too. Serge tends to lean more towards the traditional cuisine from his French roots, whereas John is more adventurous in his cooking. So think of our food as traditional English with a contemporary French twist, prepared by ex chefs from backgrounds as diverse as Michelin Star restaurants and international hotel chains.

We are great believers in using as much local produce as possible in our cooking. Why not when we are surrounded by such a wealth of quality local ingredients to choose from? This means you will benefit from our menu changing according to the seasons, as the best, fresh food is seasonal too.

As day breaks the smell of bread baking and fresh ground coffee will tempt you from your cosy beds. Join us for a hearty but healthy English or Continental breakfast that will set you up for the day.

Why not order one of our delicious picnic hampers to devour at the top of a nearby tor or whilst catching rainbow trout from the nearby lakes?

After a round on the golf course, return to the candle lit dining room for a delicious two or three course dinner. Unwind, relax or meet the other guests and socialise. Our menus include dishes such as smoked fish terrine with a herb salad; roasted breast of free range chicken with sautéed braeburn apples and a local cider sauce followed with home made tart tatin with clotted cream.

Enjoy 2 courses for £15 or 3 courses for £18 per person.

But remember to pick up a bottle of wine on your way and let us know if you'll be dining at dinner the night before.

Although we are not licensed we can offer you a wide range of soft and warm drinks and remember the Bridford Inn next door and the Artichoke in Christow...
